In a controversial episode of the series "Nord bei Nordwest" that has recently been re-broadcast, the ruthless world of crime is depicted with the help of dogs. The story revolves around drug theft from Poland to Germany, and in the process, lovable dogs from an animal shelter are used as carriers of these substances.
Dogs and a Deadly Assistance
In this episode, one of the dogs tragically loses its life during this mission. Detective Hauke Jacobs, who is also known as a part-time veterinarian, is on the hunt to uncover the truth behind this crime. However, before starting the investigation, he indulges in "hashish cookies" and gets immersed in a romantic conversation with his colleague, Jule Christiansen, which leads to unfortunate events.
In this story, not only are the dogs victims, but a human is also suspiciously killed. Frank Schuster, known as a recognized enemy in the area, is mysteriously found in his home. This leads the detectives to the animal shelter, where doubts about Kai Schwarz, the shelter owner, begin to arise.
Ultimately, the story leads to an interesting complexity that portrays deeper connections with social issues, such as helping sick children. While the case is solved, Hauke's private life remains in disarray, and the tension between his two colleagues, Hannah Wagner and Jule Christiansen, reaches its peak.
This episode of the series, titled "Nord bei Nordwest – Wilde Hunde", first aired on January 20, 2022, and was re-broadcast on July 3 at 20:15.
