Charlotte Knobloch, the 93-year-old President of the Jewish Cultural Community of Munich and Bavaria, was recently re-elected for a new term without any competition. This election comes at a time when she remains a central figure in the Jewish community of Munich.
Changes in the Management Team
Alongside Knobloch, Joshua Chmil, who has served as Vice President since 2016, will continue in this role. Additionally, Michael Holland, a lawyer and anti-Semitism officer in the Dachau district, has joined the management team. This new combination could be a sign of future changes in the management of the Jewish community.
Despite this success, when asked whether this will be her last term as president, Knobloch only noted that such a decision would be up to others. This remark itself reflects a certain uncertainty about her future.
