In a cinematic world that is always recognized for its big stars and expensive films, the failure of the film 'I. Have. No. Right. To. Sleep.' at the German box office seems astonishing. This film, directed by Maurice Winter in 2014, featuring outstanding performances by Nicole Kidman, Colin Firth, and Mark Strong, was highly anticipated but in reality, it could not even reach one million euros in sales in Germany.
A Complex and Mysterious Story
This film tells the story of Christian Lucas played by Nicole Kidman, who after a tragic incident, falls into a rare form of amnesia. Every morning, he wakes up without any recollection of his life and his wife Ben Lucas (played by Colin Firth) and is forced to rebuild his past. Following the advice of his doctor, Dr. Nash (Mark Strong), Christian begins to create a video diary that helps him uncover the truth. However, as the story progresses, he realizes that not everything is as it seems and there are strange contradictions surrounding him.
Today, this film has made its way to television and may provide another opportunity to capture the audience's attention. But will it be able to meet expectations this time, or will it remain overshadowed by its stars?
