In a unique and thrilling exercise, 31 specialists from the climbing groups Schliersee and München faced real rescue challenges at the heights of Brecherspitz. They updated their skills by simulating rescue scenarios from steep terrains under tough conditions and without access to helicopters.

Real Challenges in the Heart of the Mountain

This exercise, conducted on the eastern slope of Brecherspitz, was essentially a real test for the rescue forces. While many rescue scenarios rely on helicopters, this group assessed their capabilities in difficult conditions without access to this means and demonstrated how well-prepared they are for saving lives at high altitudes.

Given the increasing challenges that climbers face, such training becomes particularly significant during the high-risk seasons of the year. Therefore, the efforts and expertise of this group of climbers carry important messages for the climbing community.
