The 'Till' festival, led by Till Lindemann, the famous singer of the band Rammstein, commenced in commemoration of the Battle of Wolferstädten in Leipzig and took place on Friday and Saturday. This event, which is held as an outdoor music festival featuring several other bands, faced widespread criticism and protests from the very beginning.

Criticism of the Venue Choice

Holding this festival in such a sensitive location as Wolferstädten, which is a reminder of war and historical suffering, has raised concerns among residents and social activists. The head of the Wolferstädten Foundation, Anselm Hartinger, stated that 'Till Lindemann's presence with his military style is completely incompatible with the spirit of this historical site.' He emphasized that the foundation's goal is to separate this symbol from its violent historical contexts.

Following this criticism, a local resident also initiated a petition against the holding of this festival. However, on the first night of the festival, according to photographers' observations, no significant or large protests were observed at the venue.

The 'Till' festival features Lindemann and American bands such as Ministry and Aesthetic Perfection, and while tickets for this event are still being sold, it seems that the festival has received less attendance than expected.
