Just six months after the launch of the financial support program for environmental protection in Newbury, the financial resources for this program have been completely exhausted. This program, which was established to encourage and support environmental projects in the area, has faced 104 requests totaling over €210,000.
Efforts to Revive the Budget
In light of this shortage, Newbury County officials have decided to allocate an additional €150,000 for 2026. This action aims to further encourage citizens to implement green projects and preserve natural resources. However, questions remain about the effectiveness of this program and how the budget will be managed in the future.
