The film "In the Hands of Dante," which has been available on Netflix since June 24, is caught in the midst of a critical storm. This arthouse drama, starring Gal Gadot and Oscar Isaac and featuring other renowned figures such as Gerard Butler, John Malkovich, and Martin Scorsese, is recognized as one of the worst films of the year.
Sharp Criticism of Gal Gadot
Despite the star-studded cast, critics have heavily attacked the film, particularly targeting Gal Gadot for her performance. The story of the film somewhat addresses two different centuries and focuses on the narrative of the great poet Dante and his famous work, "The Divine Comedy." However, it seems that this intriguing idea has failed to capture the audience's attention.
Interestingly, half of the film has been shot in black and white by Oscar-nominated director Julian Schnabel. However, this feature apparently has not helped improve the film's status, and it has received extremely negative criticism from both critics and viewers.
