In a deadly traffic incident in Melle, located in the Osnabrück district, five people were injured, three of whom are in very critical condition. The accident occurred on Saturday when a passenger car moved into oncoming traffic.
Details of the Tragic Accident
A 41-year-old man, traveling with his two daughters, aged seven and nine, towards North Rhine-Westphalia, suddenly lost control of the vehicle. According to initial information, the cause of the accident is still unclear, and his car veered into oncoming traffic. At that moment, another vehicle driven by a 19-year-old with a 17-year-old passenger collided violently with it.
After the crash, all three occupants of the first vehicle were severely injured and transported to the hospital. A rescue helicopter was also dispatched to assist the injured. Additionally, the 19-year-old and his passenger sustained minor injuries.
Following the incident, the road was temporarily closed, and the police have begun their investigation into the causes of the accident.
