In recent years, Germany has emerged as the primary destination for Afghan refugees. However, new statistics indicate that the number of asylum applications in this country has decreased significantly. While in the past, four out of ten Afghan refugees registered their asylum applications in Germany, this trend has changed drastically now.
Decrease in Applications; A Sign of Social Changes
This decrease in applications may be related to various reasons. On one hand, changes in asylum policies and economic conditions in Germany may have influenced this trend. On the other hand, the security and social situation in Afghanistan may also impact the decision-making of refugees.
