This concerning situation has led one of the nursing homes to purchase 20 portable air conditioning units to provide better conditions for the elderly and staff.
Mental and Physical Challenges in the Heat
With the rising temperatures, concerns about the physical and mental health of the elderly have significantly increased. The lack of cool spaces for staff to rest has also added to the psychological burden of this situation. While staff must continuously respond to the needs of the elderly, the lack of appropriate facilities can affect their performance.
The question is, will these measures be sufficient? Should other nursing homes in this area also consider purchasing ventilation systems to protect the health of their residents? These shortages can have serious consequences not only for the elderly but also for the staff.
