The statistics on drug-related deaths in Germany are extremely concerning, recently reaching 2150 individuals. This figure has been approved in a report presented by the government's drug control officials, indicating an unprecedented increase in casualties resulting from this crisis.
Why Does This Crisis Continue?
Officials point out that the support and treatment system, especially for addicts, needs improvement. While there is a sense of urgency for immediate action, the lack of effective and comprehensive programs has been cited as one of the main reasons for this increase in deaths. Meanwhile, social and economic pressures also significantly affect individuals who turn to drugs.
Given these statistics, serious questions arise about current drug policy and how to support those in need of help. Is it not time to propose new and effective solutions for this crisis?
