The city of Dorfen is currently facing a major challenge: relocating the station more than 500 meters to the east. This change not only affects public transport but also creates the need for a new parking facility.
Expensive and Without Other Options
To meet the growing needs of travelers, the construction of a four-story parking garage with a capacity of 400 vehicles has been proposed. However, interestingly, other options such as building an underground parking garage have been dismissed due to their high costs. This new parking facility will cost 8.8 million euros, a figure that may raise questions for some citizens.
