Forty Years of Memories in 18 Volumes: A Story of an Archiving Citizen

Walter Brillmeier, a citizen who has collected every article related to Ebersberg for half a century, has recently published 18 books of these notes.

In a remarkable effort, Walter Brillmeier, the former mayor of Ebersberg, has managed to archive 50 years of his city's history. He meticulously cut out and collected every article published about Ebersberg. The result of this effort is the formation of 18 volumes with 6,500 pages of content that have recently been printed.

An Effort to Preserve History

This archive not only serves as a valuable resource for historical research but also serves as a reminder of a citizen's efforts to preserve the cultural and social identity of Ebersberg. His friend, August Paul, assisted him in the digitization process of this archive, scanning all the clippings over the course of two years.

This personal project is a testament to Brillmeier's commitment and deep interest in the history and culture of his city and can inspire other citizens to preserve and maintain their cultural heritage.
