Carys Zeta Douglas, the 23-year-old daughter of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, recently celebrated her professional debut in the theater world in New York. She took the stage as Nina in the play 'The Seagull' by Anton Chekhov, a work recognized as one of the greatest in theater history.
Brilliant Performance in an LGBTQ+-Friendly Church
The play was performed at St. Lydia's Church in Brooklyn, known for its welcoming attitude towards the LGBTQ+ community. 'The Seagull', first written in 1895 and staged on Broadway in 1916, tells a story of the complex relationships of artists and writers influenced by love, ambition, and unfulfilled desires.
Carys captivated the audience in this limited-run performance with her simple black dress. After the show, she thanked the audience alongside her colleagues and signed programs for visitors.
This young actress, who graduated last year with a degree in Film Studies and International Relations from Brown University, has also had early experiences in front of the camera in 2024, appearing in two short films titled 'F*ck That Guy' and 'Shell'. She shared sweet moments of this experience on her Instagram, posting images from her rehearsals and performances, writing: 'The Seagull - what an amazing time!'
