In a heartbreaking incident in the city of Salm located in the Badensky region, a school bus carrying 18 elementary school children veered off the road and crashed into a building wall due to a medical issue affecting the driver. This terrifying accident occurred while the children were on their way to school.
Details of the Incident
According to police reports, 8 children were taken to the hospital due to minor injuries, but fortunately, their condition is not serious. The 59-year-old driver of the bus was also taken to the hospital due to moderate injuries. In this incident, the entire left side of the bus sustained significant damage.
The police have stated that the cause of the accident is related to a sudden medical issue that caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and veer to the left side of the road. This event not only endangered the safety of the children but also raised significant concerns about the safety of student transportation.
